Jason first connected with fans with his powerful Top 5 debut single, “Alyssa Lies,” and his gift for heartfelt poignancy takes center stage once again with the beautiful new ballad, “Hurry Home."
The tale of a worried father anxiously and hopefully awaiting word from his runaway daughter, “Hurry Home” immediately resonated with Jason, not just because he’s a devoted dad himself, but also because his family endured a similar experience when he was a child.
Jason recalls, “My mom’s sister ran away when I was a kid, when I was two. We prayed for this lady every night, and I had no clue who she was. Years later, at Christmas, my grandma’s phone rang, and I remember handing the phone to my grandma and watching her face go flush. After 16 years of this woman being gone, her oldest daughter called home, and to me, ‘Hurry Home’ captures a lot of that.”
It’s that sense of unconditional love of a parent for a child that Jason sees at the heart of “Hurry Home.” He says, “It doesn’t matter what you’ve done and doesn’t matter where you’ve been, you can still come home. Their families – all they want is them back. None of that other stuff matters to them anymore” but to have their loved ones home again.
The new single continues an exciting time for Jason, who just scored his latest Top 10 with the smash, “Where I’m From,” which he performed earlier this week on the 2009 CMT Music Awards. Last week, Jason was highly visible throughout the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, with multiple appearance and performances, including the LP Field main stage, the Riverfront Daytime Stage, and much more. Beautiful song. Hope it makes it to #1 I've never enjoyed CD's so much. I also have waiting in the country and its great.

Jason, I don't know if you read any of this and I am sure you most likely do not, but I will throw this out there anyway. I am friend of the guy who wrote this songs and I looking forward to it going very far in the charts. His career as a singer/songwriter is taking off and I am look forward to great things from him. You guys call your local radio stations and get this promoted hard and fast. It will be great for Jason and for my friend. Thanks.

Your new song Hurry Home is a very good one. My Mom heard it on the radio once and fell in love with it. She couldn't remember the name of it so I found it for her. I then heard it for the first time and fell in love with it. I am going throught a tough time in my life and hearing the song helped me out a lot. Thank you Jason for keeping it country.

this is one of my favorite songs, recently it has taken on new meaning for me. My grandmother who is acting as my mother recently went into the hospital due to a serious stomich condition. Before this had happened we'd had several disagreements and I regret that it took this to make me realize that I should be treating her with the utmost respect, instead of acting like a compleetly ungreatful 16 year old. We are looking forward to her return home tomorow morning. Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for changing my perspective and in a way showing me the light

jason was in branson missouri on the date of 8/14/2009 i went to my moms work yesterday and she was able to get me in for free. gloriana opened for him. they were good but i really liked jason alot. when he sung "alyssa lies" and "where i'm from" i sang along.!!! i loved seeing him! is there anyway i can email him? i was given the oppurtunity to go back stage before the show becuase jane asked some one who worked for him but they did not reply so i didnt get to go although im sure it would have been a pleasure meeting him! he is my nimber one favorite singer!!!!!!! i would ove to email him and let him know tht i could have met him but also let him know that my mom jennifer jane and jenny really appreciated haveing him at the trilakes center! if anyone can help please let me know

you have some of the best music I have heard. The song "Alyssa Lies" hit me like a rock. I was an abused child. My dads mom raised me cuz my dad was a trucker. When I first heard the song it brought tears to my eyes. I wanted to let ya know what ya song did to me. I want to wish you all the best in your career.
