Jason Michael Carroll is a hot new country artist, but to his four kids, he's ‘The Cool Dad.'
You know, the one who is willing to get all dressed up on Halloween night and go trick-or-treating throughout their neighborhood, just outside of Raleigh. The year before last, he was Prince Eric to his daughter's Ariel and last year, he was Chewbacca (it was a "Star Wars" theme).
"It was so cool even though it was hot as heck," Carroll said of the adult-size costume. It was last Thursday afternoon and he was calling from Verona, N.Y. Carroll, along with Jack Ingram, were performing as part of Martina McBride's "Waking Up Laughing" tour.
The threesome will stop at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte on Friday and Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion in Raleigh on Saturday. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. each night and tickets are still available for both shows.
This year, Carroll happens to have Halloween night off (his favorite holiday) and the family will dress up as Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Gang. Carroll will be Shaggy. "I can't wait," he said, his voice switching from country star to a giddy kid at heart.

Bummed
I am so bummed that your show was cancelled in Dallas on Nov. 7th. We didn't find out until we got to the venue. I hope you reschedule and come back to Dallas very soon!!

I will start out by saying , my son,daughter and son in law to be alone with all there friends are pretty big fans of yours. In fact your cd was played at my daugthers baby shower last week, and all seemed to enjoy it greatly!! as a surprize to the soon to be married couple we plan on going to your concert here in Dallas on Nov 7 it would be so great if we could all meet you in person that night!!!! What fun that would be. Any I also realy do enjoy your cd it plays in my car daily. Keep up the good work, and were looking forward to a new cd to come out soon. My God bless you in all you do.
